BarTender enhances RFID encoding, data mapping flexibility, and software compatibility
The latest version of BarTender, Version 11.11, improves usability across RFID encoding, data mapping, and software compatibility to ensure accuracy, compliance, and long-term reliability. The latest on-premises enhancements make it easier to integrate data from different data sources, encode RFID tags, and ensure continued compatibility.
Expanded data source mapping for more flexible data integration
We have made it easier to integrate data from different data sources! BarTender Version 11.11 allows users to change data sources for multiple labels programmatically by introducing four new tags:
- <ChangeDataSource> enables users to change a named data source.
- <ImportNamedDataSource> specifies the .btds file from the named data source it was imported from.
- <IncludeObjectDataSources> provides a method for including data sources in an object.
- <UseNamedDataSource> switches the data source used on an object.
No need to manually edit data sources for each label template. The newest tags have been added to the BTXML commands.
Updated print properties for simplified RFID encoding
We have updated the field names for RFID print properties to align with GS1 nomenclature, simplifying RFID encoding and ensuring compliance with the standard.
Upgraded software compatibility to increase security and reliability
The latest version now supports Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 to ensure continued compatibility with modern Windows environments, while delivering improved security, reliability, and long-term support.
By keeping your business systems current, you can avoid downtime from cyberattacks and other security threats. Review the BarTender Lifecycle Schedule to ensure you are running the latest version of the on-premises software.
