Intelligent Forms empower operators to generate different labels and variants from a single form, simplifying printing while helping teams maintain accuracy and consistency.
The October Update for BarTender Labeling builds on that foundation with major enhancements to Intelligent Forms, including the ability to import external data sets for easier record selection and fewer manual data entry errors, and additional updates that strengthen authentication controls for greater security.

Ensure the right data is printed every time with enhanced Intelligent Forms
Import external data sets
Minimize manual data entry and printing errors by importing external data sets into Intelligent Forms. Admins can now map imported data to form options, enabling operators to select the records they need instead of manually entering information.
External data set files (Excel, CSV, TXT, and JSON) can be imported from Librarian into the Intelligent Form Builder. Imported data can populate form fields, including dropdown lists and radio buttons, and define the values or display text associated with each field.
Create more intuitive forms with conditional filtering
Building on basic conditional behavior from the previous release, Intelligent Forms now supports more flexible conditional filtering. Admins can configure fields to display relevant options based on static values, data set fields, or selections made in other fields.
This enhanced guidance simplifies record selection for operators at print-time, narrowing available options based on their input.
Preview labels before printing
Verify the label before sending a print job. Intelligent Forms now displays a static preview of the selected label alongside the form’s printer controls, giving operators a visual reference before printing.
Automate authentication for integrated systems
Service accounts are now available to provide dedicated authentication for machine-to-machine (M2M) integrations without requiring human intervention for authentication.
Admins can assign long-running permissions to printers, spaces, files, and folders, supporting automated access to the resources that the integrations need. Supported permissions align with user-level permissions, allowing systems to view, create, and delete resources as authorized.
Enforce single sign-on access your entire tenant
Enterprise admins can now enforce single sign-on (SSO) through Global Settings, helping establish consistent authentication requirements across their BarTender Cloud tenant.
