Modernize your infrastructure without re-architecting your labeling environment with support for SQL Server 2025
Dependencies on aging technology can put your labeling environment out of step with your organization’s IT standards and increase security and compliance risks.
BarTender 12.1 helps close that gap with support for SQL Server 2025, giving organizations a modern database foundation for their labeling environment. Combined with Windows Server 2025 compatibility, BarTender provides flexibility to keep your labeling infrastructure aligned with internal security policies and industry-specific requirements.
Keep labeling data accurate and aligned by synchronizing templates and documents across cloud and on-premises environments
Whether you’re printing from the cloud or on a local workstation, your label templates should reflect the latest approved version.
BarTender 12.1 enhances the Hybrid Labeling experience by synchronizing your Librarian content between your cloud and on-premises environments to ensure label data stays accurate and consistent across all distributed teams, locations, and sites.
And, if your facility encounters a connectivity issue, Offline Mode helps keep printing operations moving. When activated, Print Portal and Print Station can read files from the local cache, allowing operators to continue printing with minimal disruption.
Increase printing efficiency with expanded Actions API endpoints that automate dynamic label generation
Integrators and operators can now create, save, and print documents on the fly through the Actions API, reducing complexity and dependency on preconfigured templates.
BarTender 12.1 adds four new Actions API endpoints and BTXML Script capabilities that support your label printing workflows, including retrieving printer information, submitting print jobs, and generating preview images.
Gain greater control at print time by adjusting label positions through Print Portal, REST API, and SDK workflows
Building off the print-time offset adjustments introduced in BarTender 12, the latest release expands this capability beyond Designer.
Print operators can now make temporary label-position adjustments through REST API, SDK, Print Portal, and Print Station. This gives operators and integrators greater flexibility to adapt labels at print-time while reducing manual intervention.

Multi-file PDF printing: Configure PDF output with native PDF file splitting – no external processing tool required
Simplify PDF printing by printing multiple PDF files from a single print job
Print operators no longer need to rely on external processing tools to manage PDF output.
BarTender 12.1 introduces native, configurable PDF output splitting to give operators greater control over how PDFs are generated from a print job.
Users can choose to generate one label per PDF document or one PDF per fixed number of pages.
