BarTender Cloud streamlines print management with smarter, faster printing

Building on its massive print speed performance, BarTender Cloud delivers even greater efficiency and control over your labeling operations. The recent updates provide deeper insight into your print activity and introduce new automation capabilities, such as PDF printing and printer rerouting, to increase print operator productivity.

Smarter printing to increase label printing efficiency

We have introduced two new automations to support PDF printing and ensure continuity of your label printing. The two new automations enable users to:

• Automatically print PDF files stored in Librarian using PrintPDFAction in the Actions API and control the number of copies printed.
• Configure printer fallbacks that automatically reroute print jobs to designated printers to ensure service continuity.

We have also made significant improvements to the print engine to boost print speed, recovery, and visibility. Users can now recover jobs and data from failed print runs, monitor database performance more effectively, and control PDF generation for print history.

Enhanced insights and usability to strengthen print management

We have added new controls the BarTender Cloud Homepage and Print page to give users better insight into their printing activities and help them print more efficiently.

• The Homepage now includes two new sections. The Recent Files section shows the last several files used to help users access them quickly, and the Recently Printed section shows the most recently printed files for quick reference of your print history.
• The Print page now has alignment controls so you can manipulate horizontal and vertical offsets to ensure accuracy during print-time.

Additionally, users can now get more information about their print runs via the DataBaseOverride method.
