BarTender 12.3 expands location management and insights and enhances print-time usability

Building on the launch of integrated labeling and tracking, BarTender 12.3 gives your organization greater visibility and control across your labeling and tracking operations. The latest release for Labeling and Track & Trace introduces new tracking dashboards for managing site locations from a single interface, adds labeling insights for a clearer view of your printing activity, and enhances Intelligent Forms to make print-time data entry more intuitive. 

 

BarTender Labeling: Simplify label printing workflows and increase control over print activities 

BarTender 12.3 introduces new enhancements that simplify print management and provide greater visibility into your labeling operations. 

Building on recent Intelligent Forms improvements, including multi-page layouts and improved responsiveness, this release adds multi-column layouts to optimize print-time usability and readability on larger screens. You can now configure each Intelligent Form page with one or two columns and customize column widths to better organize content and make data entry easier at print-time. 

To support high-volume printing volumes, BarTender 12.3 expands the Actions API with a new Print Control Actions endpoint: Move Print Job. This enables registered print jobs to be transferred between print queues without having to be cancelled or re-submitted, helping maintain operational continuity while reducing manual intervention. 

In addition, Print History and Librarian reporting have been consolidated into a centralized dashboard for increased visibility into system usage and storage consumption. The new visual reporting makes it easier to monitor available storage and capacity and label printing activity, enabling administrators to proactively manage resources and avoid exceeding account limits.

BarTender Track & Trace: Create, manage, and report on site locations with centralized location management 

BarTender 12.3 delivers new location management capabilities that increase visibility and control over your item and inventory tracking. Designed to support organizations managing inventory across multiple facilities, locations, and zones, this release simplifies site configuration while making it easier to monitor and manage tracked items and assets at scale. 

At the core of these enhancements is the new Configuration Dashboard, a centralized workspace for creating, managing, and governing site locations and zones from a single interface. The new dashboard supports administrators:  

  • Create a consolidated view of your inventory, master product data, and activity history
  • Establish consistent inventory settings and role-based visibility controls across new location and zone configuration
  • Assign business-specific Location Types, such as distribution centers, factories, retail stores, etc. 

To further improve visibility, BarTender also adds new map and zone management controls. The new interactive site maps allow you to visualize facilities, define zones based on operational functions (e.g., receiving, storage, shipping, inspection, etc.), and quickly adapt layouts as your facilities evolve. Enhanced search, filtering, and sorting capabilities make it easier to navigate complex, multi-zone environments and support scalable tracking operations across growing operations.
